Age Restrictions

As there are sometimes questions as to which category a weapon may fall into, we at Springfields operate an over 18 policy, which is encouraged by our local police authority. If you wish to purchase items as described above in our retail store our staff will ask you to provide a form of ID and to fill a book with your name, address and date of birth.

Whilst we do sell knives on this website we have a larger range in stock at our retail store. We find people much prefer to have a real look and hold the items before purchasing. You will notice that if you do decide to purchase from our online selection we will ask you to confirm your age when purchasing. If you confirm that you are over 18 then you are not you are breaking the law and at risk from prosecution.

Air Rifles are no longer available online due to a change in the law as of October 1st 2007. It is still possible to purchase air rifles from us, but only from our store in Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire. You will need to bring a valid proof of photo ID i.e. driver's licence or passport. Also, if not stated on your photo ID, a proof of address will also be required i.e. Bank Statement.
