This dala red edition of the Garberg is a great all round full tang bushcraft knife. The dala red edition features the coordinates of the knife factory on the blade. The ergonomically shaped polymer handle, resembling a barrel, comes with a friction grip, a finger guard, and a 3.2 mm thick blade crafted from recycled Swedish stainless steel, it's also compatible with a fire starter. The symmetrical polymer knife sheath caters to both right and left-handed users, featuring a leather strap made from Swedish vegetable-tanned leather for easy attachment to your belt.

What is Dala Red?

Dala red is named after a Dalecarlian horse which was carved and handpainted, originally from an area of Sweden called Dalarna.  Anders from Morakniv was walking home in 1912 when he overheard two workers talking about a mahoganny handled knife, while nice it would make their knives too expensive, later that evening he had the idea to use Dala Red to paint the knives and that's how the knives got their colours!
