Best crossbow i have bought so far! i also have a 80lb pistol crossbow and a couple of 80lb compound bows.
the EX hex 400 is now my favorite! great value for money, very well made and looks amazing .
i have already bought a foldable fore grip {from here} and some more bolts. the original grip is great but it is easier to use and gives you a better feel {and looks better) in my opinion to get a foldable one for it.
i agree totally with the first review so cant really add much more, except to say if you ever need to change the string you will need to take to a shop or use a bow press, fortunately i have a portable bow press so that wont be a problem for me. and i also have to also agree and have to point out how good ,helpfull, friendly and quick to reply the custom service is here. the customer service is second to none.any problems or questions just contact them. and i have and will be buying from here again! would totally recommend this crossbow to anyone. just dont underestimate how powerfull it actually is, and take it to a big field to use. i wouldnt advise using it in a small garden. this is not a toy! its the real thing!

The EK Hex is a beast of a compound Crossbow. I have multiple crossbows and make my own high quality crossbow from cheap pistol crossbows. The EK Hex is a heavy hitter with 210lbs draw weight and fires (depending on bolt material and tips) min 395-450fps (1000fps speed test). I can't draw my 175lb Recurve because of elbow surgery, even with a clocking rope. This however is not a problem for the slick, economical design of the Hex. The Hex is also extremely adjustable, front grip can move forward or back, or taken off completely, leaving room for other rail accessories, I'm thinking torch. Also the stock goes back at least a foot and has a hidden compartment with the allen key for most of the crossbow fittings (also possible to leave room for other top rail accessories or removal/replacement of the stock). The Hex has an "Anti dry Fire" safety mechanism on the trigger so it will not fire unless a bolt is inserted, infact it won't come off safety until it feels the bolt. This Hex come very well kitted out with silencers on the strings, limbs (top and bottom) and rail, honestly it's quieter than my pistol crossbow, which is saying something. It come with shoulder Sling, 3 bolt quick release quiver, stock, front grip, adjustable telescopic sight, rail/string lube, safety glasses and 3 carbon fibre bolts. For the price, what you get, the statistics, I would expect a crossbow of this calibre to be over a £1000. Quite honestly with all the accessories this EK Hex crossbow is a steal. Easy assembly, very easy instructions for safety. The Hex would be perfect for an amateur or professional alike. I have to say aswell how amazing customer services are. In my opinion this is my best bow. Very pleased and would definitely recommend.
