Our Top 3 Axe Throwing Tips

1. Grip and Stance: Ensure a firm and consistent grip on the axe handle, with your dominant hand placed near the bottom (as the Norse Hawk has quite a long handle, it may end up further up than the bottom) and your non-dominant hand higher up. Maintain a balanced stance with feet shoulder-width apart, facing the target.
2. Focus on Technique: Practice a smooth and controlled throwing motion, aiming to release the axe when your arm is extended and in line with the target. Keep your eye on the bullseye throughout the throw and follow through with your motion, following through may look and feel a bit strange at first, but it's all translating into muscle memory which will pay off in the long run. 
3. Distance and Timing: Experiment with your distance from the target to find what works best for you. Start closer to gain accuracy and gradually increase the distance as you improve. Time your release to coincide with a consistent forward motion, avoiding jerky movements that can affect accuracy - and damange your nice new Norse Hawk!
