Mora 546 Basic Stainless Steel Knife Blue

The Mora 546 is one of Morakniv's best-value knives, it's the stainless steel variant of the much-loved 511 knife. The knife is perfect as your first Mora, for groups and education, and as a bushcraft knife to use and abuse. These knives use the same stainless steel found in all of Morakniv's stainless range so they're razor-sharp and it will retain it edge for longer than a carbon blade. 

The 2mm thick blade is fitted with a hard-wearing polymer handle in blue. The handle incorporates a fingerguard which prevents your hand slipping over the blade.

What is the difference between the Mora 546 and 511?

The 546 has a stainless blade and the 511 has a carbon blade, carbon can be sharpened to a finger point but the edge won't last as long. Carbon also requires maintenance to stop it from corroding.

Is the Mora 546 good for scout groups?

Yes, the mora 546 is great for scout groups, it's affordable without loosing any quality of other Mora knives. It's also safe with it's finger guard and plastic belt sheath. Being a bright colour also helps to spot them if they're put down in the woods.
