- This knife has a Scandi grind - Making it easier to sharpen. (Check FAQ's below)
- Patterned, high-friction grip makes the knife comfortable to hold and easy to handle
- Blade length: 4.1 inches (104 mm) - Blade thickness: 0.08 inch (2.0 mm); Overall length: 8.6 inch (218 mm); Weight w/ sheath: 3.9 oz. (110 g)
- Carbon steel - It really is razor sharp! The carbon steel may develop a patina over time, turning grey, this doesn't compromise the blade's edge in anyway and protects it from corrosion. When the carbon blade is brand new and shiny it's really important to keep it well oiled and dry to prevent rust.

Mora 840 FAQs
Is the knife easy to sharpen? - Yes, The Scandi grind makes the angle of the blade easier to sharpen, it's also made from Carbon steel which is quite a soft metal, although it may need sharpening more often, it will be sharper than a stainless steel blade. We recommend using a leather strop to sharpen the blade every 50 cuts or so.
Should I buy the 860 Stainless Companion Instead? - If you want a blade to use and put back in the drawer or toolbox without worrying about then yes, if you're looking for a bushcraft knife to use, keep razor sharp and look after then stick with the 840 Companion.
What is a Scandinavian grind? - A Scandi grind is a type of knife edge that has a single, wide bevel that extends from the spine to the edge with no secondary bevels. It is well-known for its simplicity, making it simple to sharpen with consistent angles with just a whetstone or sharpening stone. It is probably the most widely used grind in bushcraft knives.
