Introducing the new range of outdoors knives from Morakniv

The Ash Wood Outdoor Collection

There are 4 knives in the collecton, 3 traditional bushcraft/outdoor knives and one food preperation knife - the Rombo. All the knives are named after founders of the the original brand which today make up Morakniv. 

The knives all feature Ash Wood Handles, full tang recycled stainless steel black coated blades and vegetable tan leather sheaths.

 

The three outdoors knives are the Finn, Wit & Lok. The smallest of the trio is the Finn with a 2mm thick, 87mm long blade. The next is the Wit with a 2.5mm thick, 103mm long blade. The biggest in the collection is the Lok which features a 3.2mm thick 109mm long blade - like the Wit this model is also compatible with a firesteel.

 

The food preperation knife is the Rombo which is more of a cleaver style knife, still made with the same recycled Swedish Steel 2.5mm thick blade which is 119mm long.

The Morakniv Finn Blackblade

Named after Finn-Anders Andersson who was a pioneering figure in the development of the Swedish knife industry, known for establishing the first large-scale knife manufacturing operation in Mora. His entrepreneurial spirit and innovative approach helped to establish Mora as a hub for the production of high-quality knives and the new Finn hiking knife wouldn’t disappoint.

The Morakniv Wit Blackblade

The Wit sits in the middle of the ash wood collection from Mora with an 103mm blade. 

Named after Wit-Anders Eriksson the Mora Wit Bushcraft knife is a perfect companion for foraging, fire starting, wood processing and more.

The Morakniv Lok Blackblade

The Lok is the biggest bushcraft knife of the ash wood collection from Mora with an 109mm blade. Named after one of the founders of the original company (KJ Erikson), established in 1912.

The Morakniv Rombo Blackblade

The Rombo outdoor cooking knife is named after Rombo-Anders Ström was a leatherworker in the area of Mora, Sweden, who switched to making sheaths out of vulcanized fiber after seeing his son's lunchbox made from the material. By adapting his leatherworking techniques, he was able to produce the new sheaths at a lower cost and with similar functionality to the old leather ones.  The Rombo has a distinctive food grind, allow you to improve your cooking skills in the great outdoors.

The knife is perfect for camp and features a full tang recycled stainless blade, coated in black
