The Mora Knife Blade Blank No 1 Carbon Steel is a Carbon Steel Knife Blade by Mora. It is ideally used for custom knife making, the no 1 blank is a great traditional style scandi knife blade.

HOW TO MAKE A KNIFE USING THIS BLADE

1. Choose a suitable block of wood for your handle, a hardwood is usually best.
2. Cut the wooden block to length, this blade is 179mm long with a blade that is 99mm, so the handle will need to be around 100mm, as the blade shouldn't protrude through the end of the handle.
3. Drill a hole around the size of the tang through the centre of the block, leaving the 20mm space at the end.
4. Put the sharp end of the blade into a vice
5. Put epoxy resign into handle and hammer it onto the blade.
6. Next, tape the blade to keep it safe.
7. Shape the handle to your liking
8. Keep safe and don't cut yourself.
9. You can also add a bolster between the blade and the handle, this is optional.
