HOW TO MAKE A KNIFE USING THIS BLADE
- Choose a suitable block of wood for your handle, a hardwood is usually best.
- Cut the wooden block to length, this blade is 179mm long with a blade that is 99mm, so the handle will need to be around 100mm, as the blade shouldn't protrude through the end of the handle.
- Drill a hole around the size of the tang through the centre of the block, leaving the 20mm space at the end.
- Put the sharp end of the blade into a vice
- Put epoxy resign into handle and hammer it onto the blade.
- Next, tape the blade to keep it safe.
- Shape the handle to your liking
- Keep safe and don't cut yourself.
- You can also add a bolster between the blade and the handle, this is optional.
