Top Tip: The Opinel Knock

If you ever find your Opinel hard to open, you can do what Opinel call 'The Opinel Knock'. On the bottom of the handle and the very end, there is a angle cut into the wood of roughly 45-degrees. With the blade closed knock this angle gentally on a desk or hard surface the blade will pop out of the handle slightly, allowing you to open it more easily. Pefect if the blade becomes lodged.
