Mora Amberg Stainless Steel - Deep Forests
The Mora Amberg Stainless Steel is a versatile outdoor knife designed for those ready to take the next step in their outdoor equipment. Built for long term reliability, it is suitable for everything from everyday outdoor use to extended trips in forests and mountains. The design balances strength, precision and comfort, making it a dependable tool for a wide range of tasks.
The blade measures 109 mm and is made from Swedish 12C27 stainless steel produced by Alleima. At 3.2 mm thick, the blade provides excellent durability for tougher outdoor work while still allowing precise control when carving wood or preparing food. The steel is cryogenically treated and hardened to around 58 HRC, helping the edge stay sharp for longer while remaining straightforward to maintain.
The blade uses a traditional Scandi grind which offers excellent cutting control and is easy to sharpen in the field. The spine is ground square so it can be used with a ferro rod when preparing a fire.
The Amberg features a redesigned handle which is slightly flatter and shaped to suit a wider range of grips. It narrows towards the blade and includes ridges along the spine area to improve control during detailed work. The handle uses a three component construction with a polypropylene core and an outer TPE layer, providing both strength and a comfortable, secure grip even in cold or wet conditions.
The symmetrical polymer sheath secures the knife with a click fit design and can be worn on either the right or left side for flexible carry.
Made in Mora, Sweden, the Amberg reflects Morakniv’s long tradition of producing practical knives designed for real outdoor use.
