This Web-Tex mini firesteel is an ideal striker for your emergency bag, rucksack or for scouts and groups. It's lightweight at only 30g, the handle is ridged for easy grip and it has a steel for striking the rod. The rod is good for around 3000 strikes and should light some dry tinder with ease.

Tips
- If you're finding it hard to get a spark, ensure you scratch some of the black coating from the firesteel before use
- The striker has a ridge on one edge, feel for it with your fingers and hold this at a 25 degree angle pointing away from you and run it down the length of the rod.
- If you're practicing firelighting try some cotton wool balls in a metal or ceramic bowl to improve your strike
- Keep a bowl or sand or water nearby!
