I'm no expert. However, for the price I am very impressed. The blade had a slight wobble to it but soon fixed with a pein hammer. I oiled the handles and now I've a daily worker. Would buy this make again.

Excellent value
Review byMark
For the price this knife is excellent. The blade takes a decent edge. Although the fit and finish on the knife and the scales is very bare basically unfinished, I found it quite nice to do the sanding, staining and waxing myself. The end result it a very nice looking, lightweight knife, perfect to drop into a pocket.

Great Blade
Review byTom
This is a sharp blade upon arrival a little honing brings it up to a better sharpness, it’s solidly built & it holds it positions of closed & open despite not being a lock blade.
There’s a great wooden handle that hasn’t been varnished you can feel the grain of the wood which for me is a nice touch.

A Very Decent Molle/Pocket/Backpack Knife
Review byTom82
The knife upon arrival is sharp but it could be sharper but it’s nothing a little honing won’t sort out. The blade opens midway & stops at a 90 degree angle like half open half closed & I’m unsure if this is a safety feature or if it’s just mine? But whatever the blade position say closed or open is sturdy in that position & the wooden handle is a joy to hold as you can feel the grain of the wood as it isn’t varnished, its price tag is great & used correctly & cared for you’ll get a good few years out of one of these, I’ve got one in a Mille pouch I’ll get another for my backpack.

Not sharp out of the box, could not cut the cardboard packaging. I sharpened to 12 degrees each side, and stropped to make it useable for my grneral needs. Opening action is stiff but hopefully will wear in. It's OK for the price but the Anglo knife which is currently out of stock. Is cheaper and is overall superior for my requirements

Sturdy Pocket Knife...
Review byRoger C
Very good legal to carry general purpose pocket knife, cheap enough to lose, and a good quality wood handle. Very well finished overall, I only spent a few minutes with a bit of sandpaper to take the edges off the handle and it's perfect for what I want. The carbon steel will probably lose it's shine with use but I don't care about that. It's worth getting one for a spare.
Mine came very quickly considering they have to get them from their supplier. Very easy ordering process and it was delivered exactly as estimated. Very happy, thank you Springfields!

A lovely folder, suitable for daily carry or by the campfire. Good stiff folding mechanism, tactile wooden handle and sharp blade.

Review by243
This is a bit rough & ready with sharp edges on the handle but it can all be sorted in just a few minutes with some 400 grit emery cloth. I also sanded the handle & applied 3 coats of Danish oil - it really is worth the effort & the end result belies the £6 paid. The bubble pack doesn't state a country of origin & there are no indications on the blade. The knife itself is very solid with no gaps & it has a good back spring which holds the blade strongly open & gives a nice snap on closing. The blade is carbon steel so will rust easily - it is nicely oiled on receipt - & it arrives reasonably sharp. Whitby's new SS version of this knife is £28 on Amazon, so get one of these while they're available - I got 3!

Outstanding value
Review byRobert
I've bought two of these now, and find them outstanding value: handy (for the garden, mainly), very sharp, and easy to keep sharp. I could have paid three times what I paid for these and not got a better knife. Well recommended.
